Installation Tips :

If you don’t have any experience installing the Hafele undermount, please make sure that both slides are square and level with one another as well as the cabinet face , this will allow for the slides to run smoothly without binding and end up flat against the cabinet face. You will have to reduce the cabinet opening width by 5/8" when your making your drawers out of 1/2" material, or reduce the cabinet opening width by 3/8" when using 5/8" material. If you are using the pre-existing drawers it becomes a bit more tricky, because depending on when/how the drawers were made, it will directly affect the performance of the Blum 562H series slide. There is a 4 mm or 5/32" set back, "set back" is the distance from the front edge of the cabinet to the front of the mounting arm. The height of the drawer will also need to be reduced from the cabinet opening height by 13/16" of an inch making the drawer shorter than the opening by 13/16" (you must have 1/2" recessed bottom for this equation to work properly) Then the length of the drawer, front to back not including the drawer front, should be made the same size as the slide, for example, if you order a Blum 562H 21" then your drawer overall length should be 21" not including the drawer front. The rear mount brackets should be used when you don't have interior cabinet sides that are blocked out flush with the inside of the frame. I think that about covers it.
